THE FUTURE IN PRINT — SCREEN EDITION 001
The Return / Flight / Horizon

START HERE
Open START HERE.html for the short visual guide.

EASIER MAC SETUP
1. Unzip the download. Double-click Set Up Screensaver.command.
2. The helper copies the collection into Pictures > The Future in Print.
Choose Y if you want automatic artwork updates at login and daily.
3. In Settings: Wallpaper > Screen Saver > Custom.
Scroll to Other > Photos. Choose Options > Source > Choose Folder.
4. Choose Pictures > The Future in Print > Posters.
In the picker, Shift-Command-G lets you enter this path directly:
   ~/Pictures/The Future in Print/Posters
5. Confirm with OK, select Classic, and finish with Done.

This is a one-time folder selection. Your Mac's idle timer then starts the
screensaver automatically. The helper does not change passwords or sleep/lock
settings. Screen Saver may be a separate sidebar item on older macOS versions.

AUTOMATIC UPDATES
Optional, off until you choose Y during setup. Checks at login and roughly
daily while logged in. Only artwork is downloaded; helper code is not replaced.
Offline? Your existing edition stays available. A new edition may need the
screensaver to restart before it appears.

To disable: run Disable Automatic Updates.command from
Pictures > The Future in Print. Your art stays there.
To update once: run Update Posters.command.
No Python, package installation, admin password or paid app is required.

SKIP THE HELPER
Keep the unzipped collection in a permanent location and choose its Posters
folder directly in Photos screensaver settings. No script is necessary.
The helper is a pilot script, not a signed Mac app. macOS may ask for approval
to open it; if blocked, use this folder method without changing security settings.

BROWSER DISPLAY
https://thefutureinprint.com/display/
Open Start display for an uncropped gallery, including on another device.
The browser checks for new editions while open. It does not activate on idle.
